Dear Students,
What has been your favorite Halloween costume?
Mine was when I was in 6th grade, and I dressed-up as a rag doll. It was probably my favorite costume due to the involvement of both my mom and older sister, Amy. I came up with the idea but didn't know how to pull it off. Luckily my mom had an idea for my hair. She actually took apart a mop and washed the mop top before dying it bright red. I was a little horrified about wearing a cotton mop top on my head yet amazed at the intensity of the red cotton yarn. She then braided the yarn and helped me develop a wig I could proudly wear. Raggedy Ann had nothing on me. Now it was my older sister's turn to help me. During the summer Amy had been a bridesmaid and was forced to wear a light blue, gingham check bridesmaid dress with a white pinafore apron. She enthusiastically cut three feet off the bottom of the dress and pinafore apron and hemmed it by hand for my short stature. She was thrilled to see some good come of this 1970's abomination of a bridesmaid dress.

One year for halloween I dressed as a woopie cushion. It was bright red and big enough to fit me now. On halloween night I more people saying "good costume" than I got candy, and wow did I get a lot of candy.

A couple years ago after the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing I dressed up a Michael Phelps since he had swept his events and broke the record of most golds in one olympics. For my costume I put on some compression shorts,a big long bath robe with PHELPS on the back. Next I threw on some flip flops, goggles ontop of my head and 8 "gold" nike medals. The costum looked awesome and everyone at school loved it. It looked just like him before a race. That was probably my most sucessful and favorite halloween costume.

My favorite Halloween costume was the Empire of Evil, a black and purple polyester costume from the Spirit Halloween Store. First, I put on a black, robe-like dress that reached the floor and covered my arms. Next, I slipped on two black gloves on my hands and added a green gemstone ring to my right ring finger. Then, I covered my face with a mask that made me look like I had no eyes, nose, or mouth. It was all black and people looking at me could not see my face, but I could see theirs. I put on a black-hooded cloak with purple padding on the inside trim of the hood. Before I was ready to go out, I tied a black stash to my waist and I hung a medallion with a shiny, green gem around my neck. Could you believe that an innocent, little fifth grader could go around scaring people?

My favorite Halloween costume was a doggy outfit. it has been used in the family many times, whether it was dress up, or for Halloween. It was a pair of light grey sweats. My mom sewed on furry brawn patches, and a tail and long floppy ears. This costume was fun and comfortable to wear. My mom put eye liner on my nose, and drew whiskers on my cheeks. The costume looked great!

My favorite costume was me wearing my lacrosse gear but modified. I put glow sticks in my helmet for horns and put a ring on the face mask. My helmet looked like a bull. And I put big glow sticks on my shoulder pads that looked like spikes. It was very cool and I scared more people then I wanted to.

One year I went as NBA Player Kevin Love who graduated from LOJH and LOHS. I got a black timber wolfs jersey With "Love" In big white letters on the back. I got black shorts and long black socks. It was the best costume ever

My favorite Halloween costume was when I was 4 years old and I went as Sleeping Beauty. I had a long dress and sparkly heels with a little bit of lip gloss my mom put on. I was walking up a curb when i stepped on my dress and fell face first onto the curb. This may have not been my favorite time during Halloween, but I use it as a way to remember that costume.

My favorite costume was when I went with Alexander and Jake. We all dressed in black and hid then popped out and scared people. It was really fun. After a while, we went to try to get as much candy as we could. We ended up having a lot of fun and lots of candy.

My favorite costume was when I dressed up as a pink bunny in 4th grade. The bunny had long ears and covered my shoes with a pair of pink paws. Also the inside of the costume was insulated and felt super warm inside during the chilly time of year. I usually do not like scary costumes like monsters and ghosts so this was just perfect. The costume was a gift from my grandmother and really made me stand out when compared to the other costumes. Overall my 4th grade Halloween was one of the best that I can remember because of how pretty my costume looked.

my favorite costume is the one I am going to wear this year, i will be a nerd eith my friend. I am going to wear knee-high socks,vans,jeans, suspenders and fake glasses with tape in the middle it is going to be so cool. I cant wait.

My favoriete costume was the year I dressed as a ghost. The costume was hand made by my grandma, who is amazing at crafts! She made it with a hood and my mom panited my face all white with black around my eyes. It was an awsome night the only bad part of the night that was not fun was the face paint ran into my eyes and I could not see where I was going! The best part oof the night was the loot! I got so much candy, It was the best haul ever!

My favorite costume will probly be the one that I'm planning to weaer this year. The costumes for the mad hatter from alice in wonderland. It has a cute coat and a hat with a awesome dressish top with little golves. I'm super excited to wear it. If i'm not the mad hatter i'll be a nerd as defalt.

I remember one year when I dressed up at a marine for halloween. It was really cool and I have this awesome face paint on. We had awesome uniforms we bought on base. It was awesome. My sister was dressed just like me and it made me kind of furstrated because I wanted to be the only marine. Its ok though because I got back at her, I would always go to a house about 2 minutes before her and the people would give me candy... but not her. This is because since she was dressed like me, they thought I was going up again instead of a different person. I was really funny... until my mom made us go together to houses.

My favorite Halloween costume is probably the one I’m wearing this year. I am going as Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz. The costume consists of a blue checked apron-like dress with a white blouse underneath. The blouse has a high collar and puffed sleeves. I just got it today and I’m actually wearing it right now. I really love dressing up like a classic character, and I’m also going to die my hair red for the occasion. I love dressing up because it makes me feel like I’m onstage and the dramatic feeling of it is amazing! This year I’m going trick-or-treating with my friends Claire B., Claire W., and Wooyeon. We’re going to have the most amazing time ever! I’m so excited and I really looking forward to the best Halloween ever!

This year for Halloween, I’m dressing up as a nerd! I think it’ll be my favorite costume, and I can’t wait for Halloween night! I got the idea because I went to a 3D movie and afterwards I popped the lenses out of the glasses, put tape in the middle, and thought that it would be a great idea to be a nerd! My mom is also helping me put together the costume. A few weeks ago we bought rainbow suspenders. With the rainbow suspenders, I’m going to wear, a colorful top and skinny jeans. I’m also going to put my hair in pigtails, and wear polka-o-dot flats! I am very excited to get some candy with my friends!

My favorite costume is the one I am going to wear this year. I am going to be a ghillie this year, I know I will have lots of fun wearing it and scaring people by hiding in bushes. Ghillie suits are made of fake grass and people in the military and army dress up as ghillies to blend in with the grass. It is always the best scaring my friends and jumping into bushes, also gathering more candy than them (haha just kidding). My friend told me as a prank to ding dong ditch people on halloween, and that gave me the idea that I should be a ghillie.

My favorite costume is my Dorothy costume from the Wizard if Oz. It is a checkered dress and I put my hair into two braids with dark blue bows. I plan on wearing my costume this year. I also have a little basket with Toto in it. I am really excited for Halloween this year I am really looking forward to it.

My favorite costume was my zombie princess. I tore up one of my old dresses and put some fake blood stains on it. For my makeup I put some sort of white shade on my face. Then on my chin I put the last of the fake blood to make it look like I had just eaten something or someone. I really enjoyed that halloween and I'm looking forward to this one.

One of my all time favorite costumes was probably when I dressed up as a wax man. I put powder on my face and hands, to make myself extremely pale. I wore a suit and a hat. We had put a bowl of candy out and had a sign that said "take one only." I sat in a garden chair next to the bowl, and out of the corner of my eye, I would keep an eye out for anyone who took more than 1. I would slowly turn my head at anyone who got to suspicious. I would stare at them until they noticed. It scared the heck out of little kids.

Of the many halloween costumes that I've worn there is one that stands out. When I was three I decided to be a black cat for Halloween. When you are three, you are about the same size as a large cat. We went to the Party City to get this costume that I begged for. After searching for a long time we found a store that had exactly what I wanted. I slipped on the furry jacket and went trick or treating. In the pictures of Halloween you couldn’t tell if I was a cat or a person. I got a whole lot of candy that night and I was very happy. This costume is special to me because it was my very first time trick or treating.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Halloween costume is when I was very, very young. I was the orange and black striped animal of a well known kids’ book. He had a yellow stomach, and a rose pink nose. This animal’s head is made of rubber and his tail is made of springs. I liked this costume so much I wore it many times before Halloween and on Halloween night as well. It was my favorite character in Winnie the Pooh. T-I-double-Guh-E-R. That spells Tigger!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite costume I have ever worn was my Jack Sparrow pirate costume I wore last year. It was my favorite because i started working on it when On Stranger Tides came out which was May. I had put lots of effort into its and i remember every weekend until Halloween my mom would take me out to get another piece of the costume that i could add to my masterpiece that was soon to come. Not to mention I also mastered a pretty good Jack Sparrow voice for it.

When I was 10, I was Stewie for Halloween! This is my favorite costume by far because Family Guy is my favorite show. Even better, there was a fake butt that hung out the back of the pants! I got lots of laughs from family and friends. Even better, I got a lot of candy! I wore my costume all day on Halloween because it was so funny!

From the time I was six tell the time I was ten, I was a dead football player for Halloween. This is my favorite costume by far because ever sense I was a little boy (aka six) I wanted to be in the NFL. So I would dress up as a football player and as the years went on sown I was a dead football player then I was a zombie football player. The best part about my costume is that I had homemade helmet that I spray panted and a jersey that I custom made. That is why I liked this costume so much.

My favorite Halloween costume was probably the one I did for the past few years. For this costume my mom, I helped a little, but we made an anonymous black robe, cloak thing. Meanwhile my dad and I made a mask to go with it. And that was my costume. I liked it because it was cool and it was funny how people were trying to guess who I was.

In India, people do not celebrate Halloween. When I was I was in 3rd grade, I went to school in the U.S.A. In our school, we could wear a Halloween costume to school, so I did. I went to school as a Pirate. The Pirate costume had black and white stripes and the sleeves on it looked like they were ripped, which made it look cool! I also had an eye patch, a pirate scope, a hook and a belt! The Pirate costume was the first costume I ever had and wore and I really like it! I will always remember the day I wore my Pirate costume on Halloween!

My favorite Halloween costume was the costume I wore a couple of years ago. I went as a vampire. I wore fangs with it and couldn't talk the whole night but it was worth it. My mom also did my makeup. A 3 year old that was trick-or-treating with us that year seemed to be kind of scared of me.

My favorite Halloween costume I have ever worn was the character "Dash" from The Incredibles. I was four years old. My mom hand-made the whole costume. First, she took one of my red shirts and pants and put them on me. Then she cut holes in large black socks for gloves. Third, my mom put tight black underwear over my current "Dash" costume. Next, she laminated the paper logo and taped it to my chest. Last, she strapped a eye-mask to my face. I went racing around to houses with my parents (I was four years old) gathering candy. I will always remember this costume because it was handmade. I also wore it a couple months after Halloween.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite costume would probably be that one time I went as a winged black cat. I got a lot of candy, and I got to wear wings. I had furry boots, black clothing and a pair of wings. Now, I don’t mean cheap fairy wings, I mean wings that had individual feathers stuck in and secured, with fuzzy fake down near the top. I also had headband cat ears, a choker with a bell for a collar, and a fuzzy little tail. It was one of the first comfy Halloween costumes I’d had, and I kept wearing the boots after that, until they eventually fell apart. I hope this year’s costume is as nice.

This was in 4th grade, and I had the cutest blue and pink skirt I wore.I wore my hair up in a bun to school, and my mom helped me put on my costume. She helped me put glitter around my eyes. Out of all my Halloween costumes I have had, my favorite was when I was about five or six years old. That was the year when I decided to be my favorite Disney princess, Cinderella. When I was little, I had very blond hair that for the costume my mom put in a bun. I also bought a fancy little blue dress that looked like Cinderella’s and pretty black shoes.

My favorite Halloween costume would have to be when I dressed up as Bloody Mary for Halloween! I was wearing a beautiful gown like a princess would but I looked all scary with grey and black make up on my face. I also had to wear a black wig because bloody Mary wasn't a ginger. I remember when I walked down stairs to where my friend was waiting so we could go trick or treating and she gasped "Wow!" The look on her face was priceless. I will never forget that Halloween with my costume.

My favorite Halloween costume is one that my Mom and I made a couple years ago. I was a decapitated human holding my head in a jar. We constructed it using the pvc piping out of a laundry hamper, cardboard, ski gloves, duct tape, a mens extra large shirt, and a large clear plastic jar. My real arms were inside my body holding my shoulders up while my fake arms held the jar that contained my head. At my old elementary school they had annual Halloween parties and during the party they had a costume contest. That year I ended up winning first place.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite costume was four years ago in fourth grade. Me and my best friend Lindsay went trick-or-treating in Westlake, she was an Indian and I was a lamp! A red jump suit with bell bottom ankles, a red fringe skirt, and a silver shade. The shade was made of partially shear silver fabric and two foam tubes stapled into the shape of a lamp shade. That year was so much fun and I got tons of compliments on my creativity!

My favorite costume ever was in 4th grade when I dressed up as a werewolf. I had this plastic and fake fur mask. I also had these gloves and this shirt with this hair on it. It was so sweaty in the costume that the sweat was dripping down my face. And I could barely see me own hands. Though it was all worth it. I got a lot of candy and it was delicious.

Last year I was Alice and Wonderland. That was my favorite Halloween costume! I saw the new movie of Alice and Wonderland and I decided I wanted to be her. I looked for the costume at about every store that had Halloween costumes. So sense I couldn't find the costume of Alice. I went to this website called Costume Express. I found the perfect costume it had black and white striped leggings and gloves. The dress was a baby blue color and it was really cute. The outfit had a wig but I decided to just flatten my hair because the wig wasn't working. So I got all ready for Halloween with my costume and everything. Then my Mom didn't know what to be so she decided she loved my costume so much she decided to be the Mad Hatter! Our costumes looked really good. So that Halloween everyone kept complimenting us we were really happy. That was my favorite costume i've had yet.

My favorite halloween costume was when I was 3. I loved Winne the Pooh, so that year, I was Tigger. The costume wasn't that amazing, just tiger stripped footie pajamas with a mask and a tail, it was what I did that halloween. I wanted to be just like Tigger, so I bounced around the whole time on that night. I was completley oblivious to the fact that my bag was ripped and candy was raining down to the street. Despite this, it was my most memorable year for sure.
